This page tracks BlackOak node status, seed availability, sync behavior, and network readiness.
The purpose is simple:
Users should know whether the network is live, syncing, testing, or pending.
Current Status
- Network state: pre-public launch / internal testing
- Public seed nodes: pending
- Explorer: planned
- Mining pool: planned
- Wallet sync status: pending public test
- Mainnet status: not final until genesis data and release notes are published
Expected command naming:
Code: Select all
blackoakd
blackoak-cli
blackoak-qtWhat This Page Will Track
- Public seed node 1: pending
- Public seed node 2: pending
- DNS seeds: pending
- Block explorer: planned
- Hosted mining pool: planned
- Bootstrap file: optional / pending
- Public peer count: pending
- Chain height: pending
- Latest block hash: pending
- Wallet release: pending
Early node operators should expect a small network. That means patience matters.
In the first stage, node operators may need to manually add peers until DNS seeds and stable public nodes are online.
The final node guide should include:
- install instructions
- config file location
- addnode examples
- firewall notes
- port information
- log file location
- sync troubleshooting
- safe shutdown procedure
- wallet backup warning
A network is not “healthy” because a website says so.
A network is healthy when independent nodes can sync, validate, reconnect, and continue producing blocks without central coordination.
That is the standard BlackOak should publish against.
