BlackOak Emission Schedule Overview
BlackOak’s emission model is designed to be deterministic, readable, and publicly auditable.
The goal is not to hide the supply curve behind marketing language. The goal is to publish the actual parameters, show the expected issuance path, and let anyone reproduce the calculation.
Current Design Direction
BlackOak uses a smooth emission model rather than a rigid theatrical halving schedule.
The design target is:

Traditional halvings are easy to explain, but they create sharp issuance cliffs.
BlackOak’s direction favors a smoother curve so the supply schedule can decay with less ceremony and more predictability.
The point is not to make monetary policy mysterious.
The point is to make it testable.
